School Ready Guide is operated by Lema Collective Limited ("we", "us"), the data controller for the personal data described here. Lema Collective Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15823451), with its registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF. Who this service is for

School Ready Guide is designed for parents and carers, adults supporting a child's education. It is not intended for direct use by children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. See "Children's data" below.

What we collect

• Email address and name when you request a free planner or guide, buy a product, or subscribe to updates.
• Tutorial inputsyou provide when generating a tutorial, such as year group, subject and topic. Please do not include your child's full name or any sensitive detail. We do not need it, and ask you not to enter it.
• Purchase information if you buy from us. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.
• Usage data such as pages visited, collected only with your consent through analytics cookies.

How we use it

• To send the resource you requested and, if you opt in, occasional relevant updates.
• To generate the tutorial content you ask for.
• To process and support any purchase you make.
• To understand and improve how the site is used.

Lawful basis

We rely on your consent for marketing emails and analytics; on the performance of a contract to deliver products you buy; and on our legitimate interests in running and improving the service. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by clearing your cookie choices.

How the tutorial generator works

When you generate a tutorial, the details you enter are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the content and returned to you. These inputs are not used to train AI models. Because we ask you not to enter identifying details, this information should not identify your child.

Sharing and processors

We use trusted providers to run the service, including our hosting platform, email delivery provider, payment provider and AI provider, who process data only on our instructions. We never sell your personal data. Some providers may be outside the UK; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain affiliate links (for example to Amazon). If you follow one and buy, the retailer, not us, processes your purchase under their own privacy policy, and a cookie may record that the visit came from us so we receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. See our cookie policy.

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, for example, until you unsubscribe, or as long as required to support a purchase and meet legal and accounting obligations. We then delete or anonymise it.

Children's data

We take children's privacy seriously. Our service is aimed at parents, we minimise the data we collect, and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from a child. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, or you would like information relating to your child removed, contact privacy@schoolreadyguide.com and we will act promptly.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal data, to data portability, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). To exercise any right, email privacy@schoolreadyguide.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date above when we do, and significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
